Senior Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Marston Holdings Limited. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value categories across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Category Managers to deliver budgeted cost savings within your categories of spend.
- Draft, negotiate, and deliver robust and appropriate supplier contracts for your categories.
- Manage complex supplier relationships and own regular commercial meetings to ensure engagement, alignment, and clear communication.
- Track, assess, and drive performance improvements, acting as a point for escalations and issues through to resolution.
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive results while minimizing risk.
- Interact with the Transactional Procurement Team to support process improvement, spend transparency, and policy compliance.
Requirements:
- A senior-level procurement expert with experience of managing multiple categories of spend.
- Organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Commercially astute and customer-focused, comfortable leading supplier negotiations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Procurement Category Management within Indirect Procurement.
- Experience of creating end-to-end category plans and negotiating best commercial agreements in line with business requirements.
- Strong understanding of contracts and comfortable liaising with legal counsel.
- Ability to demonstrate a track record of YOY cost savings and value-added initiatives.
- MCIPS or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced Procurement environment managing Indirect categories.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 a plus).
- Experience managing a remote team.
- Strong experience managing IT/Technology categories.
