Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercial-minded Senior Procurement Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value categories across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a spend of circa £25m and provide analysis and reporting of market dynamics and cost drivers for your categories.
- Undertake a range of sourcing activities to support the needs of the organization, including managing complex supplier relationships and owning regular commercial meetings.
- Track, assess, and drive performance improvements, acting as a point for escalations and issues through to resolution.
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive results while minimizing risk.
- Interact with the Transactional Procurement Team to support process improvement, spend transparency, and policy compliance.
- Implement new systems, processes, and procedures when required, with guidance from the Director of Procurement and in line with Marston Holdings Group policies and procedures.
- A senior-level procurement expert with experience of managing multiple categories of spend.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Procurement Category Management within Indirect Procurement.
- Experience of creating end-to-end category plans and negotiating best commercial agreements in line with business requirements.
- Strong understanding of contracts and comfortable liaising with legal counsel.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a fast-paced Procurement environment managing Indirect categories.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 a plus).
