We are seeking a professional to lead our care & nursing homes in the East of England region, covering Suffolk and Norfolk. This is a field-based role with our client, a leading provider of both nursing and residential care homes.



This position requires a registered nurse with post-registration experience and a track record of managing a care home or similar healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of financial management, compliance, and regulatory standards in the care home sector.



The Senior Care Operations Manager will be responsible for cultivating a positive, inclusive work culture that promotes growth and professional development among managers and staff. This includes training and mentorship, as well as overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and business growth.



To be successful in this role, you will need to develop action plans to meet regulatory standards, manage risks effectively, and regularly review care delivery to implement necessary improvements for optimal care. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for residents.



A strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external partners. You will also be knowledgeable in best practices for quality care and creating a supportive environment for elderly residents.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Train and mentor managers and staff to cultivate a positive, inclusive work culture
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and business growth, identifying areas for improvement to meet financial goals
  • Develop action plans to meet regulatory standards and manage risks effectively
  • Regularly review care delivery, implementing necessary improvements for optimal care
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for residents
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external partners
  • Track KPIs and other metrics to measure and enhance outcomes consistently


Requirements:


  • Registered nurse (NMC) with post-registration experience
  • Experienced in managing a care home or similar healthcare setting
  • Thorough understanding of financial management, compliance, and regulatory standards in the care home sector
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable in best practices for quality care and creating a supportive environment for elderly residents
