Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with SEND: Key Responsibilities


As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice with SEND, you will play a vital role in supporting children of all ages, focusing on their well-being and helping them thrive in a positive environment.



Key Duties:

  • Support Student Development: Assist students in achieving their daily goals across various subjects
  • Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with teachers to understand and support assessment
  • Develop Effective Practice: Enhance your skills and develop informed practice
  • Safeguard Children: Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of children are prioritized
  • Develop Support Strategies: Create and implement effective support strategies


Apprenticeship Benefits:

You will receive off-the-job training, comprising a blended model of learning, coursework, training, and shadowing. This will be approximately six hours per week. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
