Job Description

Join the National Audit Office as we seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) agenda. As the Head of Diversity and Inclusion, you will play a key role in developing and implementing our D&I strategy, driving cultural change, and promoting a culture of inclusion and respect within the organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing D&I initiatives, combined with experience of translating analysis and evaluation into continuous improvement, focused on outcomes to meet business needs. They will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of intersectionality, how it is presented in organizational data, and experience in designing appropriate D&I interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive D&I strategy, aligned with the organization's business objectives and values.
  2. Lead the development of plans to improve workforce diversity and inclusive culture, including overseeing the organization's diversity recruitment programs and monitoring success.
  3. Take responsibility for autonomously managing cross-functional, multi-stakeholder projects, and delivering significant improvements in staff engagement scores around feeling included, safe, and welcome at work.
  4. Act as a subject matter D&I expert, providing expert advice, insight, support, and training to the business and senior leadership as appropriate.
  5. Develop and implement CSR initiatives, aligned with the organization's values and objectives, and report to the Executive team on them, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering D&I initiatives, combined with experience of translating analysis and evaluation into continuous improvement, focused on outcomes to meet business needs.
