Pertemps are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Administrative Support Specialist to join their client's property law team in Edinburgh. As an Executive Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
">- Drafting, formatting, and amending legal documents and correspondence is a key responsibility.
- Managing property transactions, including searches, registrations, and liaising with relevant parties, requires strong organisational skills.
- You will be responsible for handling client and matter opening/closing processes, ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and conflict check procedures.
- Coordinating diaries, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel for the team is also part of the role.
- Assisting with billing, invoicing, and general financial administration is essential.
- Filing, scanning, and maintaining organised electronic and paper records requires attention to detail.
- As a key point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing queries is crucial.
About You:
- Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal, ideally within property law, is preferred.
- You should demonstrate strong organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a professional telephone manner are required.
- Familiarity with property transaction processes, including Land Registry submissions and SDLT forms, is beneficial.
- You should work well under pressure, meeting deadlines with a proactive and positive attitude.
- A willingness to learn and adapt, with a client-focused approach, is essential.
