**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Veterinary Inspector to join our team in Perth, Scotland. As an SVI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of animal health and welfare, protecting public health, and enhancing food security.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 3 months, which may or may not renew. The salary for this position is **£45,000 per annum**, depending on experience. We offer a competitive package, including a generous pension scheme and comprehensive training opportunities.

  1. About the Role:
  2. Provide veterinary operational services to safeguard animal health and welfare, protect public health, and enhance food security
  3. Investigate notifiable animal diseases and manage TB breakdown cases
  4. Conduct post-mortem examinations and collect and interpret relevant data
  5. Carry out inspection, approval, and audit duties
  6. Contribute to disease outbreak response and ensure compliance and enforcement of government policies

**Requirements:**

  1. Degree in veterinary medicine
  2. Relevant experience in veterinary operations
  3. Essential Skills on application, OCQ(V)-TT and OCQ(V)-SS are desirable but not essential
  4. Experience with large animals
  5. Knowledge of government policies related to animal health and food security
  6. Strong communication and decision-making skills
  7. Ability to work flexibly and respond to disease emergency situations
  8. UK driving license and access to a vehicle
