About the Role

The Road Logistics Business Development Manager is a key position within our organization, responsible for driving new business sales and customer development within the road logistics business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities for the road logistics business unit, leveraging industry knowledge and market trends.
  • Manage and maintain target customer lists and pipelines for clients with annual road movement expenditures exceeding £100,000.
  • Utilize Kuehne + Nagel's Tender Management Methodology to effectively handle RFI and RFQ management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new traffic and product services, driving business growth and revenue expansion.
  • Regularly report on success, pipeline, and lost opportunities, providing actionable insights for business improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor analysis, ensuring a competitive edge in the EU road logistics market.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in logistics and senior sales positions, with a strong understanding of the EU road logistics market.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Effective influencing and negotiating abilities, with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
