About the Company:

Joseph Executive Search Ltd is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and packaging business to find a Chief Business Officer. This company has experienced significant growth over the past 15 years and aims to double its revenue in the next five years.

About the Role:

The Chief Business Officer will be responsible for developing and executing the sales and marketing strategy, managing the sales team, and expanding the business into new markets. This is a hybrid role that requires frequent visits to the company's head office in the south of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to drive business growth
  • Manage a team of sales professionals, including two Business Development Directors and four Account Managers
  • Expand the sales team by hiring two additional Business Development Directors
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK and Europe

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, preferably in the pharmaceutical contract manufacturing or packaging industry
  • Over 5 years of experience in team management
  • A proven track record of sales success
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, player-coach role
  • Ambitious, goal-oriented, and strong communication and team management skills

Compensation Package:

The base salary for this role is around £150,000, with additional short-term and long-term incentives.
