Rotational Senior Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Newham Hospital. As a rotational senior occupational therapist, you will have the opportunity to work across various wards and departments, including Accident and Emergency, Acute Assessment Unit, Cardiac, Respiratory, Amputee/Surgical, Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU), and Health Care of the Elderly.
Main Duties- Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions to a wide range of patients, including advanced assessment and treatment, provision of individual and group education and treatment, provision of assistive devices (orthotics) and equipment, minor structural home adaptations, and provision of complex disability management and advocacy services.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the needs of patients.
- Participate in the rotational scheme, working across different wards and departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the services provided by Newham Hospital.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Fulfils KSF outline for Occupational Therapist (Band 5)
- DBS clearance
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria include:
- Member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy
- Experience gained across core rotations
