Job Title: Band 6 Occupational Therapist - Neuro-Medical Rotation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a Band 6 role. As a key member of our therapy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients across various clinical areas.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to work at a more senior level, providing leadership and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to promote the development and improvement of our services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide best-practice interventions through evidence-based practice, keeping up-to-date with research and ensuring compliance with trust and national policies and procedures.
  • Identify learning needs and access internal/external training and supervision.
  • Proactively participate and lead CPD sessions through journal clubs, in-service skills training, and peer support.
  • Identify areas for service development and complete projects relating to these in each rotation.
  • Work across sites and commit to working weekends on a 7-day working rota.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist in an acute physical setting.
  • Concise and accurate report writing skills.
  • Experience of working with neurologically impaired patients.
  • Ability to work autonomously, planning and prioritizing own workload.
