The Role
We are seeking a skilled Fund Compliance Specialist to join our Risk and Compliance team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the team, you will provide specialist regulatory advice and assurance for our UK range of Alternative Funds. Your expertise will support the provision of cross-border distribution advice across EMEA, ensuring compliance with prevailing UK and EU requirements. In this role, you will lead Compliance SMEs, providing guidance on regulatory rule interpretation and supporting fund developments and distributions within EMEA. You will also serve as a point of contact for the Head of Funds and Distribution Compliance, representing the function at key forums and committees. A strong understanding of Alternative funds and associated regulatory frameworks is essential, as well as experience in Compliance advice in an investment firm. The estimated annual salary for this position is £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience. About the Department
Our Risk and Compliance team currently has a requirement for a skilled Compliance Manager to work alongside a small number of SMEs who provide Compliance advice, assurance, challenge, and support to the business on topics such as the interpretation of UK funds rules with a focus on abrdn's alternative funds.
