Job Summary

Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Generalist Adviser to join our team. As a Generalist Adviser, you will play a vital role in providing advice and support to individuals and families in need.

Main Responsibilities

  • Client Support
    • Provide sensitive and empathetic support to clients, using active listening skills to understand their concerns and empower them to make informed decisions.
    • Use our online resources to research and communicate relevant information to clients.
  • Research and Campaigns
    • Contribute to research and campaigns work by providing information and insights.
    • Keep clients informed about research and campaign options.
    • Stay up-to-date with legislation, policies, and procedures, and participate in relevant training.
  • Administration
    • Attend internal and external meetings as required.
    • Prepare for and participate in supervisor sessions, team meetings, and staff meetings.
    • Use IT systems to record information, track funding requirements, and produce documents.
  • Other
    • Complete required training to ensure quality assurance processes are met.
    • Perform other tasks as required to ensure the effective delivery and development of our services.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and software.
