Job Description:

The successful Service Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining cranes and prolonging their lifespan through preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Advising the group/site on crane-related and lifting operation matters
  • Reducing crane breakdowns through preventative maintenance on component items
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on components after failure
  • Completing risk assessments and method statements
  • Collating crane performance data and sending monthly reports to the manager
  • Applying continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimize crane availability, reliability, and performance
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable technical experience in a similar mobile service role
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of relevant plants, such as forklifts, is beneficial
  • Flexibility with travel, tasks, and working hours
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Full UK driving license

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills.
