Purchasing Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at Travail Employment Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and procurement of materials for production
  • RFQ forms and ERP system updates
  • Purchase order management and control
  • Advising the Operations team on product costs
  • Liaising with planning, design, and stores operations
  • Component system organization and management
  • Cost report preparation and stock control
  • Negotiating terms with suppliers and ensuring quality of goods

Requirements:

  • Engineering and manufacturing background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep costs down while maintaining product quality

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 1pm, 39 hours per week
  • Accessible by local transport and based in Grantham
  • 25 days holiday plus stats, free parking, standard company pension, casual office wear
