Key Responsibilities- Provide expert supervision and support to foster carers, including attending reviews and developing professional development plans.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for approved foster carers and assist with their ongoing training and development.
- Participate in case conferences and planning meetings for children in placement, ensuring that their needs are met and their welfare is prioritized.
- Match children with suitable foster families, ensuring that all legal paperwork is completed and that the needs of the child are met.
- Contribute to the development of our foster care services, using evidence-based practices such as PACE parenting and DDP principles.
- Support the recruitment of potential foster carers, completing Form F Assessments as required.
- Promote our foster care service in the local community, attending marketing events and engaging with local stakeholders.
- Qualified Social Worker, ideally with a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience.
- Experience in childcare, family placement work, and/or child protection.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good sense of humour and a positive attitude.
- A full driving licence with business insurance cover.
