We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer to join our team in Cambridge, London, or Edinburgh. As a CPU Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing a new CPU architecture, working closely with architects and experts to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop CPU architecture and micro-architecture features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces between hardware, firmware, and operating systems
  • Work with a wider team of experts to deliver client-focused solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in C programming and low-level assembler programming languages
  • Understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture features
  • Familiarity with ARM/RISC-V/MIPS architecture and current CPU cores
  • Strong understanding of modeling microprocessors using C/C++
  • Prior experience with AVX, SVE, SME, CCA, and Morello/CHERI technologies
