As a key member of the University of Glasgow team, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Manager to play a leading role in the provision of comprehensive financial management support and direction to a large-scale multi-partner project, InFrame. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all project finances across three partner universities and holding financial accountability for the 2-year project.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on strategic delivery and financial reporting, offering issue resolution and high-quality technical support for all project finances.
- Work in partnership with the InFrame Project Lead and the InFrame Project Manager to deliver strategic project objectives.
- Develop and implement financial management plans with strategic alignment.
- Provide financial leadership, support, and challenge to the project team.
- Contribute to continuous financial process improvement and change, delivering operational and financial efficiencies.
- Substantial post-qualification management accounting experience with a proven track record in leading and managing the financial planning, reporting, and governance within a large complex environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working with and influencing across all levels of an organisation, including senior management, in a political or highly complex environment.
- Proven experience of building robust business cases with non-financial professionals and presenting these to senior management.
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
