SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aspire People. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, following their personalized learning plans.
  2. Assist teachers in creating a conducive learning environment, promoting inclusivity and accessibility for all students.
  3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and school staff to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students with SEN.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant qualifications in childhood studies or a related field (Level 2 or 3).
  2. Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
  3. Desirable: Additional SEN training certificates, such as MAPA, Makaton, or Team Teach.
  4. A genuine passion for supporting children with extra needs and a commitment to their well-being.
