About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with special educational needs, working closely with the teaching staff and SENCo to ensure that all pupils receive the help they need to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual needs, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills, monitoring progress and providing feedback to teachers and SENCo.
  • Support pupils during transitions between activities or lessons, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, with a good understanding of SEN and learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
