Job Title: Sales Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join our team at Major Recruitment Sunderland. As a Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate estimates and quotations for projects, working closely with our clients and internal teams to ensure successful sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and responding to client RFQs (Requests for Quotations)
  • Developing client enquiries and expanding client requirements
  • Liaising with our supply chain for current pricing and delivery pricing
  • Producing accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Preparing, issuing, and following up proposals and quotations
  • Handover of client issued POs (Purchase Orders) to our purchasing department for invoicing
  • Ensuring all estimates have client-approved drawings in place
  • Advising clients of delivery dates and communicating with our purchasing department and clients to ensure well-managed sales
  • Supporting the development, population, and management of our e-commerce site
  • Client visits when necessary
Requirements:
  • Experience as an Estimator with good sales skills and confidence in speaking to new contacts
  • Experience working with CRM/E-Commerce software and MS Office
  • Positive, engaging, dynamic, passionate, organized, and diligent with the ability to learn new products and industries
  • Previous experience in a welding/fabrication environment is a strong advantage
  • A full UK driving license for occasional client visits
