About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, and snacks to students and staff, adhering to established menus and recipes.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness of front-of-house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally have experience working within education catering.
  • Health and Safety: Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Have excellent organization skills and demonstrate great attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Possess great customer service skills and a flexible approach to work.
