About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lived Experience Support Worker to join our team at With You. As a Lived Experience Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who have experienced substance misuse and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a champion for our clients, sharing your personal experiences and knowledge to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to share their stories and receive support.
  • Work collaboratively with our IPS team to help clients engage with and participate in IPS support towards gaining employment.
  • Support the team by promoting Liverpool's IPS service to clients attending recovery hubs, outreach venues, and events.
Requirements
  • Personal lived experience of substance misuse or mental health issues.
  • Completed treatment at least 6 months ago.
  • Knowledgeable and compassionate around the issues affecting people who use drugs or alcohol.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under instruction as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturday shifts.
Desirable Skills
  • Prior experience of customer service, reception, or public-facing roles.
  • Prior experience of Peer Mentoring, Recovery Services, or Employment services.
