We are seeking a skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health Liaison Team in BANES. As a key member of our team, you will provide a responsive, needs-led mental health assessment and short-term intervention service to adults presenting to the Royal United Hospital with mental health problems.
Our team covers a 7-day working week, 365 days a year, with a pattern of shifts that includes 8 am to 4 pm, 9-5 pm, 10 am to 6 pm, 12 to 8 pm, and 4 pm to midnight. We are open to flexible working arrangements to promote a healthy work-life balance.
You will be working alongside an established and experienced band 6 nurse team, who will provide guidance and support to help you develop your skills and learning.
We are looking for a like-minded individual who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn. You will be responsible for promoting a positive attitude and a supportive culture in relation to psychiatric illness across the general hospital.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be integral to improving patient journey and outcomes for those individuals referred to the team. You will work in a flexible and exciting way to provide exemplary care to patients, as well as support for the acute hospital.
Continued awareness of the effect and impact of physical health conditions on the mental health of service users is crucial. You will develop good working relationships with both the RUH and community teams, and may have opportunities to provide teaching and develop learning opportunities for nursing and medical students.
You will be responsible for assessment, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care, without direct supervision.
