Broomfield South SILC is a generic special school catering to pupils aged 2-19 with diverse needs. We have three sites, including our main site and partnership locations at Windmill Primary and Rodillian Secondary.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Manager to work closely with the Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team to ensure site management and health & safety excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our school site to a high standard, managing all works across site, and being the first point of contact for stakeholders regarding premises and H&S issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a professional environment that welcomes visitors and families and enables learners to thrive and be safe
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written
  • Work well independently, managing workload and site repairs as required
  • Work confidently on a range of systems and keep accurate data records
  • Prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Be willing to contribute to school life
  • Ensure all statutory Health & Safety guidance is adhered to across site

Requirements

  • Experience of site management and repairs
  • Experience of Health & Safety policies and statutory duties
  • A good standard of education and relevant qualifications
  • Experience of working within a busy, high-pressure environment
