About the Job

This opportunity involves working as a freelance interpreter, listening to content in the source language and accurately reproducing it into the target language. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Consecutive interpretation for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Ensuring non-English speakers understand the content by checking their comprehension after each sentence
  • Interpreting in various settings, including conferences, public service environments, and one-on-one meetings
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Fluency in English and another language
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or above
  • Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
