We are looking for a Lead Culinary Professional to join our team at Go To Outsourcing in Swinton. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents.

This is a challenging role that requires strong culinary skills and attention to detail. You will need to be able to cater for special dietary requirements and have a good understanding of nutrition.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Candidates with 12+ months experience as a head chef will be considered
  • Prior experience cooking English-based food and managing a kitchen is essential
  • The ability to cook for 30+ people in one sitting is crucial
  • Fresh produce and English style dishes should be cooked from scratch
  • A flexible schedule between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM is required
  • Chefs who can work on the spot if a resident doesn't like what is offered will thrive
  • Comfort with IDDSI training is expected
  • Assisting 1 or 2 kitchen assistants is part of the role
  • Baking cakes and pastries is a valuable skill

Requirements:

  • Candidates with some experience working in a catering environment will excel
  • A valid UK work visa and 12 months experience in a care setting are mandatory
  • An enhanced DBS is not required but can be obtained if needed
  • 20-30+ hours per week is a standard workload

Work Schedule:

8–10-hour shifts between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM are typical

Compensation:

£14.50 - £18 mid week and £16 - £21 weekends
