As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex learning needs in a dynamic and supportive school environment. Your expertise will contribute to creating a nurturing and positive learning environment, enabling students to achieve their full potential.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans, ensuring each student has the opportunity to succeed.
  • Implement personalised strategies to support the social, emotional, and educational development of students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, using positive reinforcement to encourage progress and engagement.
  • Provide support with personal care needs as required, maintaining the dignity and wellbeing of each pupil.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant, preferably in a similar school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs and the ability to implement effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of people.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of the role.
