Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be able to assist with personal care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans
  • Support students with their learning and personal care needs
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is desirable

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a classroom setting under the guidance of the teaching staff. The environment may be challenging at times, requiring patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual student needs.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
