Job Title: Aerospace Design Lead
Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per year
About the RoleSBR (Southbourne Rubber) is seeking an experienced Aerospace Design Lead to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical design and experience working with SolidWorks and CATIA software.
Main Responsibilities- Develop new components and improve existing ones to meet customer specifications and aerospace industry standards.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead the development of customer programs from conception to production before ownership of NPI.
- Provide value-added engineering support to internal and external teams as required.
- Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- A degree or high-level achievement in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience in technical design and proficiency in SolidWorks & CATIA design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of FMEA and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
