Temporary to Permanent Procurement Administrator

We are seeking an experienced procurement / purchasing administrator to fill a temporary to permanent position in Cambridge. This role involves working closely with our forwarding company in the UK to ensure a smooth transition of stock from overseas into our group warehouses.

Responsibilities:

  • Raise and receive purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies that may occur.
  • Communicate with our forwarding company in the UK to ensure a smooth transition of stock from overseas into our group warehouses.
  • Reconcile invoices periodically and communicate with our finance team to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
  • Back-order reconciliation and regular liaison with suppliers to ensure product availability status is visible for the business.
  • Liaise with depots regarding stock adjustments and PQF queries.
  • Update supplier product and price database regularly to maintain accurate information for clients and customers.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully qualified and experienced procurement / purchasing administrator.
  • Possess a valid full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to learn and be well-organized.
  • Automotive industry experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Punctuality and professionalism paramount.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail highly important.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting salary: £28,000 per year.
  • Weekly paid for the 2-week temporary period, then monthly paid when permanently employed by the company.
