About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Atlassian Support Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Specialist Application Support Team, you will be responsible for providing world-class technical support to our Atlassian users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the Atlassian suite of tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and associated plugins/add-ons.
  • Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Atlassian tools.
  • Test and evaluate new product versions to ensure they are ready for release.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure Atlassian tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and free from known security vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and security of Atlassian applications, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Manage user access and permissions, ensuring appropriate levels of access are granted and maintained in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian product releases, updates, and new features, evaluating their potential impact and benefits for the organization.
Requirements
  • Good experience in the administration of Atlassian toolsets.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing tools.
  • Comfortable with managing the infrastructure that Atlassian sits on.
