About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in Barrow. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with service users and build trusting relationships to provide emotional support and practical assistance.
  • Visit service users in their homes or other settings to offer support with daily living tasks, such as cooking, appointments, medication, and money management.
  • Work collaboratively with service users to develop and implement individual support plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to enable service users to live independently.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure the needs of service users are met.
Requirements
  • Be a car driver and car owner (or have access to a vehicle) to enable travel to service user locations.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • Be able to work independently and use your own initiative to make decisions and take action.
  • Have a passion for delivering high-quality support and making a positive difference in the lives of service users.
