About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Major Programmes Director to lead the planning, execution, and governance of large-scale capital programmes within the Infrastructure, Energy, and Defence sectors across the UK.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver major programmes on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and contractors.
  • Provide strategic oversight on commercial, contractual, and risk management aspects, ensuring compliance and alignment with best practices.
  • Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Continuously assess programme performance, implementing improvements to mitigate risks and enhance outcomes.


Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in leading major programmes within the Infrastructure, Energy, or Defence sectors.
  • Proven track record of exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of commercial, contract, and risk management principles.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Chartered status) and a solid grasp of project management methodologies.
