Job Title: Technical Document Coordinator

Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm is an offshore wind farm situated in the North Sea, off the Angus coast. The project will contribute significantly to the UK's carbon emissions reduction targets.

The Technical Document Coordinator plays a key role in controlling and coordinating engineering technical queries, document reviews, and managing comment sheets for the project scope of work.

Responsibilities:
  • Track, file, and record document reviews.
  • Manage project technical query/comment sheet registers.
  • Generate workflow discussions using the DMS system and provide regular reports on documents and queries to the project team as required.
  • Closed out queries and comment sheets in a timely manner, highlighting potential issues to the Senior Technical Clerk, Engineering Manager, and Foundations Package Director.
  • Establish a single point of contact for contractors.
  • Facilitate engineering meetings and produce minutes for distribution internally and to contractors.
  • Perform document control tasks.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluency in English.
  • High degree of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Ability to identify and manage issues affecting the engineering project program.
  • Ability to multitask, flexible in approach, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Pro-active and positive to changes and challenges typical of offshore projects.
  • Uphold project core values and reputation both internally and externally.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to ensure delivery of planned and unplanned activities.
Knowledge:
  • Experience with electronic document management systems.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint desirable.
  • Previous experience of coordinating and interfacing within engineering project teams and third parties.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience managing interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines such as project management, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Document control experience essential.
  • The project language is English, requiring the job holder to write emails, hold discussions, and read technical documentation to a fluent level.

This role offers an estimated salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
