Finance Manager Job Description

As a Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and planning of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

About the Role:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare the annual budget and monthly forecasts in line with the company's overall business objectives, providing financial analysis and insights to optimize financial performance.
  • Financial Reporting: Submit timely monthly management accounts and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including variance analysis, and review work for other areas of the financial statements prepared by other team members.
  • Financial Control: Ensure robust financial controls are in place, adhering to GAAP/IFRS and music industry-specific accounting standards, and prepare accurate and timely annual statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
About You:
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the music industry or entertainment sector, and strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis principles and practices.
  • Skills: Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and proficiency in financial software and tools, such as accounting software, financial modelling, and Microsoft Office/G-Suite applications.
