Senior Accountant

Crowe UK LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring clients' needs are met in a timely and effective manner, while identifying opportunities for added value.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of complex statutory accounts and review of disclosures under various accounting frameworks, including FRS102 and IFRS.
- Review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of VAT and employer taxes, including P11D and PSA.
- Prepare and review monthly/quarterly management reports for a range of clients.
- Prepare integrated cash flow forecasts.
- Review bookkeeping duties using various accounting software, such as Xero and Sage.
- Prepare and review corporation tax returns and provide ad-hoc advice, supported by our tax team.
- Build client relationships and assist management in maintaining client portfolios.
- Identify client internal controls and suggest improvements.
- Perform on-site assignments/secondments at clients' premises.
- Ensure completion of assigned areas of work within the time budget and deadlines, with a minimum of supervision by the manager.
- Continuously improve systems and procedures.
- Provide assistance, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff as required.
- Prioritize your own work and deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge and changes in the accountancy profession, driving best practice in the team.
- Monitor and adhere to deadlines, ensuring client work is completed in line with client expectations.
- Liaise with other departments in the firm and have awareness of services on offer.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with the following qualifications and skills:
- ACCA/ACA qualified.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an accountancy practice firm.
- Basic knowledge of accounting packages and statutory accounts preparation software, ideally Xero and Caseware.
- Basic knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102.
- Strong time management and delegative skills.
