Key areas of responsibility:

  1. Process new Membership applications, renewals, gift aid declarations, payments, event ticket applications, postal applications, and donations according to agreed procedures and service level standards.
  2. Handle general enquiries and correspondence, on the telephone, in writing, or by email, to agreed standards and procedures, escalating issues as necessary.
  3. Maintain data integrity, record accurate data, and adhere to data processing protocols at all times. Perform other relevant data processing and administration tasks as required.
  4. Support the administration and organisation of Members' events as necessary, and attend events outside of general working hours (TOIL will be given).
  5. Support the Membership Services Manager and Membership Services Coordinator in other tasks and duties related to customer care of Members.

About You:

  1. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent; English and Maths essential.
  2. Experience of dealing with the public and diffusing difficult situations.
  3. Excellent telephone manner and strong written correspondence skills.
  4. Evidence of excellent customer service skills with experience in direct customer service, e.g. retail, reception, public affairs.
  5. Experience of using CRM Databases or similar software and capable user of Microsoft packages.
  6. Accuracy in data entry and excellent attention to detail.
  7. Proven organisational and communication skills.
  8. Ability to evaluate and improve repetitive tasks and procedures.
  9. Enjoy working with people, as well as in a busy office environment while taking responsibility for a variety of tasks.
