We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Sphere Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives across various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective HSE strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement construction phase health and safety plans.
- Identify and promote best practices in health and safety management, and provide training and support to staff.
- Work with the supply chain to establish effective relationships and ensure continuous improvement in delivering safety solutions.
- Lead negotiations to resolve health and safety issues and ensure the best outcome for the project.
- Establish and monitor a schedule of weekly health and safety inspections, including operational staff, senior management, and support services.
- Previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager working on a major infrastructure project.
- Degree or equivalent in Environment Management, Sciences, Sustainability, or completion of IEMA Foundation Certificate.
- NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NVQ L3 in Health and Safety.
- 40 hours a week.
- £70k - £72k plus package.
