Job Summary

As a Senior Capability Manager at National Nuclear Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in leading our Remote Engineering, Design and Robotics team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the operational activities within the team, ensuring safe and successful delivery of customer work scopes and continuous improvement of team activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • EHSS&Q Accountabilities: You will be accountable for EHSS&Q within your team, including duty of care for all staff, ownership and safe operations of equipment and facilities, delivery of projects, programs and technical work, and delivery of the EHSS&Q Assurance and Improvement Plans.
  • Capability Accountabilities: You will be accountable for all resources within your team, including staff leadership, performance, availability, SQEP, competency review, development, technical training, progression, and recruitment, as well as facilities and equipment maintenance, renewal, disposal, repair, inspection, access, and utilization.
  • Budget Control Accountabilities: You will support the Capability Leader for all budgetary control associated with your team and will be measured against budget control through KPIs, including staff costs, facilities and equipment costs, and customer delivery.
  • Customer Delivery Accountabilities: You will be accountable for all customer delivery associated with your team, including work with Account Directors and Customer Workstream Leads to engage with customers to maximize business opportunities, technical excellence in customer delivery, technical resolution, and leadership accountabilities.

Requirements:

  • A directly relevant science degree or an equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • Line management experience.
  • Working to high quality standards in a highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance.
