We are seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to play a key role in our Fundraising team.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will identify and approach individuals who wish to invest in cancer research. Your primary objective will be to grow Yorkshire Cancer Research's portfolio of major donors and deliver exceptional levels of tailored engagement and stewardship.
As a Philanthropy Manager, you will contribute to the charity's ambition to secure significant income to achieve its plans to save more lives in Yorkshire and beyond.
You must have experience of proactively approaching prospects and building long-term relationships, preferably with philanthropists or family foundations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach potential major donors
- Build and maintain relationships with existing donors
- Develop and implement tailored engagement and stewardship strategies
- Contribute to the charity's fundraising targets
Requirements:
- Experience of major donor fundraising
- Proven track record of building long-term relationships
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
