Job Description

The Business Development Representative will play a critical role in driving outbound and prospecting, and lead development for IFS's top-of-the-line Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EAM applications and be able to effectively communicate the value of IFS's solution to potential customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with potential customers through various channels to qualify them as valid sales opportunities.
  • Develop cold accounts into warm and targeted accounts through aggressive targeting and value-based messaging.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to review assigned accounts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain relationships with assigned target accounts and develop value in working with IFS.
  • Understand the functional competitive advantages of IFS's EAM solution set and customize messaging to gain traction in accounts.
  • Work through gatekeepers to gain access to decision-makers in prospective organizations.
  • Work with pre-sales and marketing teams to develop the territory and identify high-quality opportunities.
  • Keep accurate electronic records of calls and contacts and update prospect status within the contact management application.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1+ years of proven software telemarketing, business development, inside sales, or software sales experience.
  • Ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs and better qualify prospects.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly coachable and willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific emphasis on telephone skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Experience with contact management applications, such as SalesLoft or Outreach.
