Personal Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and patient individual to support a lady with multiple sclerosis in her daily life. The successful candidate will assist with household cleaning tasks, provide companionship, and help access the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the lady with household cleaning tasks and daily living activities.
  2. Provide companionship and engage in activities that promote independence and confidence.
  3. Assist with accessing local community resources and services.

Person Specification:

  1. Females are preferred due to personal care aspects of the role.
  2. Someone with patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
  3. The person must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality and respect for privacy.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role.
  2. Full UK driving licence holder with business insurance cover.
  3. Own a personal car.

Terms and Conditions:

The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.

Hours and times of work: 6 hours per week.

Desired hours of work: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Time discussed further at interview.

The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

Free care skills training is provided to employed staff.

Post Requirements:

  1. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  2. Satisfactory references from two referees.
  3. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
