Personal Assistant for Lady with Multiple Sclerosis

We are seeking a compassionate and patient individual to support a lady with multiple sclerosis in her daily life. The successful candidate will provide companionship, help with household tasks, and assist with accessing the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the lady with household cleaning tasks and other reasonable duties as requested.
  2. Assist with accessing the local community and providing companionship.
  3. Help the lady maintain her independence and confidence.
Person Specification:

Essential:

  1. Females are required due to personal care aspects of the role.
  2. Someone with patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
  3. The person must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for the lady's privacy.

Desirable:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  2. Full UK driving licence holder with appropriate business insurance cover.
  3. Own a personal car.
Terms and Conditions:

The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.

Hours and times of work: 6 hours per week.

Desired hours of work: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Time discussed further at interview.

The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

Free care skills training is provided to employed staff.

Post Requirements:
  1. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  2. Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
  3. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
