Position Summary: Director of Product Management

The Director of Product Management plays a pivotal role in overseeing the development, marketing, and lifecycle management of Loftware's product suite. This leader will lead a team to identify market opportunities, develop business cases, define requirements, and collaborate with software development, marketing, sales, customer success, and customers to execute product initiatives aligned with business goals. Key responsibilities include developing product launch plans, working with marketing to drive product positioning and go-to-market strategies, and interacting with customers to bring their voice into product requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand and grow the product management team by hiring, onboarding, coaching, and enabling them with product management discipline and best practices in an Agile environment.
  • Lead a team of product managers through planning and execution of strategic product initiatives, ensuring achievement of overall business goals.
  • Become the go-to leader for assigned product lines by clearly communicating product vision and strategy to stakeholders.
  • Create product roadmaps, prioritize work, and manage product releases.
  • Drive innovation and new product development initiatives from conception through execution.
  • Take ownership of assigned product development and product management projects/initiatives, being self-sufficient in their successful delivery to stakeholder expectations or targets.
  • Perform market research and analysis in target industry sectors, identifying market opportunities, trends, and drivers.
  • Develop and gain agreement for product strategies and product positioning addressing market opportunities effectively.
  • Identify and prioritize specific market and customer requirements for resulting new products or product enhancements.
  • Prioritize requirements for inclusion in each product release and gain stakeholder agreement and investment approval on release contents and timescales.
  • Utilize the product life cycle process to deliver and launch products and services to market, on time and budget, supporting agreed product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Manage products in life to ensure ongoing success in terms of market share, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Enable sales and marketing teams to be effective by being a market and product authority/subject matter expert and aid in creation of appropriate product documentation, sales tools, and collateral. Remain up-to-date on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive alternatives, and adjust product strategies and roadmaps accordingly.
  • Be a subject matter expert on the functionality, features, and design of Loftware's software products.
  • Be a strong customer advocate and participate in client focus groups, customer events, and ongoing client-facing meetings.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd-party technology partners and suppliers, where applicable.
  • Manage end-of-life activities for products as required.
  • At least 8 years of product management experience with SaaS products.
  • Experience of being responsible for bringing new B2B software products to market by following an Agile product development process.
  • Strong understanding of business financials and product pricing and packaging.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills.
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience in a global organization.
