Senior Pharmacist – Trauma and Orthopaedics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our Trauma and Orthopaedics pharmacy service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals across our Trauma and Orthopaedics wards and specialties.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service for Trauma and Orthopaedics, ensuring safe and effective medication management.
- Provide strategic guidance on clinical pharmacy issues and offer professional leadership in this area of care.
- Collaborate with senior staff to review and develop policies and procedures for the safe and effective handling of medications.
- Lead and develop education and training programs for healthcare professionals in pharmaceutical and medicines management aspects of Trauma and Orthopaedics.
- Manage and train junior rotational staff, including aspects of day-to-day line management and acting as a diploma tutor/trainee designated supervisor as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and work towards supporting prescribing on the ward as an independent prescriber according to your scope of practice.
