About the Role

As an IPS Employment Specialist at Shaw Trust, you will work with individuals who face barriers to employment due to physical and/or mental health conditions. Your primary goal will be to support these individuals in securing sustainable paid employment that aligns with their preferences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of 25-30 individuals, providing person-centered advice and guidance to help them achieve their employment goals.
  • Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, building positive relationships with local employers and stakeholders to facilitate employment opportunities.
  • Work closely with Primary Care, GP practices, Community Health Teams, Job Centres, and other community organizations to support participants on their recovery journey.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IPS delivery, preferably in a Primary care setting.
  • Experience of supporting individuals to obtain or keep work.
  • Ability to meet and exceed outcomes and targets.

Location

This role will cover a site to be allocated within East Kent. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will spend 65% of your time working in person in the community, embedding with your clinical team site.
