Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock & Purchasing Controller to join their team in the Chesterfield area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and control stock levels using Microsoft D364, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  2. Process purchase orders for stock, consumables, and ad-hoc items, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  3. Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  4. Report weekly and monthly stock balances, achieving site performance targets and deadlines.
  5. Conduct PI checks and investigate major variances, following established procedures.
  6. Process daily stock transfers and perform general administration tasks related to stock management.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in procurement or purchasing, with full training provided.
  2. Permanent work sought by the ideal candidate.
  3. Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft, including D364.

Working Conditions:

  1. 8 hour day shift, Monday to Friday.
  2. Competitive salary of £24,000 per annum.
