Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Reconstructive Scientist to join our team for a period of 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a clinical, scientific, and advisory service to patients undergoing reconstructive procedures or rehabilitation using implants, splints, and prostheses.
Main Duties
- Provide specialist advice and consultancy on maxillofacial prosthetic issues
- Participate in stock control and ordering of department consumables
- Contribute to departmental and initiate own research and development programmes
- Participate in teaching for the units MPT training programme
- Support and deputise for the Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthetist as required

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a clinical, technical service to patients undergoing reconstructive procedures or rehabilitation using implants, splints, and prostheses. This will include:
- Delivering a clinical, technical service to patients undergoing reconstructive procedures or rehabilitation using implants, splints, and prostheses
- Liaising with team members and scheduling of patients' clinical appointments and surgical procedures
- Organising own clinical sessions and quality control of work produced within the patient environment
- Providing clinical and technical support and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams
- Coordinating and arranging treatment plans, timetabling of clinical/technical procedures, discharge from care, and referring on/back of individual cases
