Senior Occupational Health Specialist Nurse

This role is responsible for providing expert occupational health advice and support to employees across the Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a deep understanding of occupational health principles and practices.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert occupational health advice and support to employees, managers, and HR teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate workplace hazards.
- Develop and implement occupational health policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for employees.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest occupational health research, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
A good standard of literacy and numeracy, equivalent to GCSE or demonstrable experience, is essential for this role.
Experience- Demonstrable office administrative experience is required.
- Good customer service skills are essential.
- NHS experience is desirable.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office, are essential.
- Takes responsibility for own actions and promotes good positive team working.
- Consistently looks to improve working practices and promote high standards in all they do.
- Ability to remain calm at all times.
- Aware of the remit of HR departments, including data protection law and confidentiality.
